Description:
The Pete Hartley Liver Hill Fell Race signals the start of the light evening race season and is a firm favourite on the local fell running calendar. Set over 5 miles in the hills above Rawtenstall and Crawshawbooth, this classic route offers a true test of fell running, with tough climbs, stretches of Rossendale bog and fast, flowing descents — a course that delivers everything you’d expect from a traditional fell race.
Pete Hartley, a founding member of Rossendale Harriers, had a deep love for these fells and the Rossendale moors. This race stands as a fitting tribute to his passion for fell running and remains a popular and well-loved evening event year after year.
